Associate of Science

Associate of Science Pathway in Nursing allows students to take prerequisites for the ASN program as well as courses that transfer toward the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN-BSN). RN-BSN candidates must have an ASN in order to be accepted in the Dalton State RN-BSN program.

The following courses are prerequisites for the ASN program and also apply to Core IMPACTS requirements:

COMM 1110

MATH 1001, 1101, 1111, or 1113 (Grade C or better required)

POLS 1101

HIST 2111 or 2112

Arts, Humanities, & Ethics Elective (one 3-hour course)

ENGL 1101 (Grade C or better required)

PSYC 1101

The following courses are prerequisites for the ASN program:

BIOL 2251K (Grade C or better required)**
